Master of Science in Organizational Development Program Overview
The Master of Science in Organizational Development online program embraces organizational systems, cultural systems and human systems issues as they apply toward leading, administrating and managing human resources in organizations. Simply put, the degree is an interdisciplinary program in organizational leadership and human resource management incorporating communication, conflict resolution, psychology and business/management sciences.
The central objective of the degree program is to provide an advanced degree synthesizing knowledge from diverse fields into a focused yet flexible plan of study that is useful to leaders in all organizations. The program is committed to applying the study of individual, group and cultural issues to meet the special needs of administrators, managers, trainers, military officers, government leaders and others in the professional community.
Distinctive features of the M.S. in Organizational Development are breadth in understanding human behavior, development of leadership skills with multiple applications, adaptation of models to diverse organizational settings and maximization of career mobility for holders of the degree.
The M.S. in Organizational Development program is a 36-hour program composed of 10 courses and a capstone.
