Message from the Director
Welcome to the Master of Science in Organizational Development online program at Abilene Christian University. This strategically sequenced, 36-hour Master of Science (M.S.) degree focuses on enhancing the practice of organizational leadership and human resource management. It does so by incorporating courses in the following disciplines: Communication, Psychology, Management Sciences and Conflict Resolution – making it one of the most integrated graduate programs in the United States.
As a learning institution with a rich religious heritage and longstanding commitment to academic excellence, this interdisciplinary degree program speaks to the very core of ACU’s mission to prepare students for Christian service and leadership throughout the world. It is designed to provide you with the expertise and confidence you need to effectively manage teams, initiate change and become a leader within your respective organization. The program’s critical thinking and strategic planning courses offer valuable tools to help you sharpen your ability to make effective decisions, assess and address organizational needs, and master the art of conflict resolution. It is also important to note that ACU is ranked within the top 20 schools in the West by U.S. News & World Report and is accredited by the Southern Association of College and Schools (SACS) Commission on Colleges.
Education is about so much more than simply filling our heads with facts, figures and information. It’s about growing as a person. It’s about building lasting relationships, challenging ourselves and pushing ourselves past our perceived limitations. At ACU, we teach students to explore new concepts and apply new practices in both their personal and professional life. It’s an amazing journey, and we can’t wait to embark on this path of excellence with you.
